The Tokyo wood fern is one of those little known, but splendid, deciduous woodland ferns, native to woodlands from Honshu to Shikoku and across to Korea. A nice vertical accent in the garden reaching 3'. We think Dryopteris tokyoensis is an easy-to-grow and distinctive fern for the shade garden.
