Tsuga canadensis Emerald Fountain® (Canadian Hemlock)
Developed by Monrovia Nursery. A part shade tolerant evergreen. This is a columnar evergreen solution for formal and winter gardens. Use as a pair to flank entry, gate or outdoor structure. Plant in a row for informal hedge or screen; can be used as a partition between terraces. Add to foundation planting for winter forms that remain attractive in the off season, an excellent choice for a low-maintenance hedge or screen.
Forms a densely branched, bushy column of evergreen foliage that requires little pruning. Retains its dark green foliage color throughout winter. Protect from afternoon sun, okay in half day of morning sun. Now in a #5 grow pot at 30-36” reaching 8-10’ if allowed to grow.
