Solidago rugosa 'Fireworks' (Golden Rod)
‘Fireworks’ is a standout native cultivar for the late summer and fall garden, producing an abundance of bright yellow flowers from early August into September. Its deep green foliage forms a tidy mound, with arching stems reaching 12–18” and covered in clusters of blooms. A favorite of Monarchs and other butterflies, it also provides seeds for birds after flowering. Easy to grow and tolerant of heat and dry soil, it makes a striking display when planted in groups. Currently 12–15”, reaching 2–3’ at maturity.
