A Northeastern U.S. native perennial with golden-yellow flowers from August through October. Growing 3–4' tall, it features glossy, dark green foliage with a distinctive anise scent. Thrives in full sun to part shade and is highly drought tolerant once established. Deer resistant and a favorite of butterflies and other beneficial insects, it makes a striking addition to mass plantings and meadow gardens.
