Picea abies (Norway Spruce)
Very cold hardy & sun loving, this Spruce is the perfect symmetrically shaped Christmas tree. Excellent choice for a front-yard holiday tree or as a semi-formal accent in a large planter. Lovely form under snowfall. Makes a pretty evergreen background, also is a good sound barrier along busy streets. Currently at 30-36” reaching 45’ plus with room to grow — in ideal growing conditions.
Its pyramidal form has a graceful appearance because of pendulous branchlets. Develops a spacious understory as it matures. Tolerates heat and humidity better than other species.
