Centerton Nursery

The first piece of land that now holds Centerton Nursery was purchased by Ray and Marlene Blew in 1974. Now in its fifth decade of operation, Centerton Nursery is owned and operated by three of Ray and Marlene's grandchildren: Donald, Bob, and Amy. Chelsea has been buying plants from the Blew family for the past twelve years. They supply us with beautifully grown perennials, roses, herbs, ground covers, and nursery stock. Many of their plants are grown and delivered in their distinctive powder-blue pots.

David Austin Roses

David Austin has spent the last sixty years developing his award-winning English Roses. Combining the delicate charm and wonderful fragrances of the Old-World Roses with the wider color range and repeat-flowering nature of modern roses, they are hard to beat for sheer exuberance of flower and scent. Our trusted partner, Overdevest Nursery, maintained several test gardens of David Austin Roses that thrive here in the northeast, many of which have been pre-booked for Chelsea Garden Center.

Emma's Garden

Emma’s Garden

Chelsea has been purveying the Keil family's plants for over three (3) decades. They consistently grow at a high standard, and their plants can always be found on our benches.

Emma's Garden was founded in 2008 by third-generation Keil growers Eric, Jeff, Greg, and Scott. They founded Emma's with the mission of growing the highest quality plants to provide to local businesses and landscapers all over the Northeast. Unlike other wholesale plant suppliers, Emma's only sells to independently owned businesses. “Just like our grandmother, Emma Keil, promised when she and our grandfather entered the industry in 1921, we never compromise on quality, value, and customer service. We know that when our customer thrives, we thrive.”

Glover Perennials

Glover Perennials

Glover perennials are always recognizable in our garden centers as their pots all have large format yellow labels with full product descriptions. They are so widely recognized by our shoppers that the question is often asked, “When are we getting another Glover delivery?” Glover Perennials has been a leader in growing natives long before they became trendy. With over 350 Northeastern U.S. native species in production, Glover Perennials offers the widest selection of natives in the New York tri-state area. Though we are not an exclusively native plant nursery, we recognize their importance to the well-being of our environment. Located on the North Fork of LI and benefitting from a maritime growing climate, Glover plants simply glow.
