Garden Renovation
Designer: Linda Albert
Working Through Changes
The designers directive was to bring lush greenery into the garden following major home renovation work. This backyard was gently reshaped to welcome a dedicated garden space, anchored by a single, meaningful request: the planting of a Red Emperor Maple tree as a quiet reminder of childhood.
Shifting patterns of sun and shade allow the landscape to unfold in layers. Ornamental grasses, hydrangeas, and evergreen shrubs woven together with the calming fragrance of lavender. A woodland-inspired garden emerges beyond, where ferns and richly hued heuchera create depth, movement, and a subtle play of color throughout the seasons.
