This southwest-facing Chelsea terrace was designed as a vibrant outdoor retreat that could flourish in full sun and withstand the challenging winds common to New York City rooftops. Inspired by the client's love of bright, showy color, the planting palette combines chartreuse foliage with layers of pink, purple, and blue blooms for season-long interest.
Completed over two phases, the project began with the installation of premium Campania fiberglass and Jay Scotts planters before being filled the following spring with carefully selected sun and wind tolerant plants, creating a dynamic garden that continues to evolve with each season.
