Prunus x yedoensis (Yoshino Flowering Cherry)
A graceful, deciduous flowering cherry tree known for its iconic spring displays in Japan, Washington, D.C., and New York City. Produces large, almond-scented, single blossoms that are blush white or tinged with soft pink and a darker center. The flowers appear before the foliage in early spring, creating a romantic, cloud-like effect.
Foliage emerges coppery-bronze in spring, deepens to rich green in summer, and turns red-orange in fall. Its elegant, spreading branch structure and refined form make it an excellent specimen tree for gardens, courtyards, or front-yard focal point.
Currently available in a #15–20 grow pot at 6–8' tall. Reaches 25–30' over time when planted in ground.
