Slow growing, layered and compact evergreen shrub with handsome red branching clothed in flat sprays of dark green foliage. This specimen has long been used in Asian landscapes. It is long lived, slow growing and is ideal for window box plantings now, container planting or as an accent plant in the garden. Prefers sun to partial shade, slow-growing.

Bonsai Use: Excellent for small, detailed bonsai because of its miniature size and fine foliage. Its slow growth allows precise shaping and layering over time.
