

Prunus Yedoensis Yoshino Cherry
A small, deciduous Japanese flowering cherry tree or shrub with spreading branches, the leaves emerging a coppery-bronze color in spring to contrast with the blossom, turning dark green then finally red-orange in the autumn. Large, single flowers are almond-scented, blush white or tinged pink with a darker center, and appear prior to the foliage in spring. Famous in both Japan, Washington and NYC for its spring time flower show. Prefers at least one half day of sun. Now in a #20 grow pot at 7-8' plus reaching 25-30' over time. This is an ideal specimen tree for the front of the house or backyard garden.
