Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’
Pink leaves? Yes, please! When these cuties arrived in our store last week, we were all in awe of the pretty pink and white foliage. Grown in a bright indirect light, it will keep sending out those pink leaves!
A cool variety of Calathea that has been a big hit in our stores! Commonly known as Rattlesnake plant, the Lancifolia prefers a medium to bright diffused light, which makes it a good choice for a northern window.
Strelitzia nicolai ‘Bird of Paradise’
We love this plant for it’s big, dramatic tropical leaves! If you have a bright space, then the Bird of Paradise is the perfect plant for you. While it’s not likely that you’ll get it to flower in your apartment, the foliage is definitely impressive enough on it’s own!
Our growers in Florida do a really great job of turning these plants into true statement pieces! We just love the woody trunks on them and how the overall shape is unique to every plant! Reflexas are easy plants to grow and will tolerate a medium light very well.
A quintessential tropical plant, the Montera’s leaves form splits and holes which give this sturdy houseplant a unique look. You’ll often see these beauties growing at the base of trees in the tropics, eventually climbing their way up the trunk! Monsteras like a drier soil, so be sure not to keep their soil too wet.
Dieffenbachias are a great choice for your home, since they are easy to care for and give a pop of brightness and color to your space. While most people with pets or young children tend to stay away from them, they are one of the best plants to purify the air.
Polyscias scutellaria ‘Fabian Aralia’
Aralias are usually known as being temperamental, but we can tell you that with a diffused bright light, proper watering and some TLC, they make wonderfully elegant houseplants. The beautiful dark green-purplish foliage on the Fabian Aralia is striking, don’t you think?
Sansevieria ‘Bantel’s Sensation’
The Snake plant or Mother-in-Law’s Tongue gets a bad rap as a pedestrian choice, but did you know that these are one of the best plants for helping to clean the air? With so many cool varieties, you are sure to find one that you love! One of our favorites is called Bantel’s Sensation. We think the narrow, silvery foliage is really neat!
We love this tree for it’s pretty, round, delicate looking leaves, but don’t let that look deter you from bringing one home! We find that it holds up better than it’s sometimes-finicky sister, Ficus benjamina. Moclame is quickly becoming as popular as the Fiddle Leaf Figs here at CGC!
Dracaena ‘Dorado’ Cane
A cousin to the Dracaenea Massangeana ‘Corn Plant’, the Dorado cane has more compact heads with shorter leaves. This is a great choice for a narrow space, or one that might not get a lot of light.
