There are few things better in life than picking a fresh, juicy apple off your own tree and eating it there in the fall sunshine. And few apples compare to the delicious Honeycrisp! One of America's favorite apples, the Honeycrisp is crisp and crunchy on the outside and firm but juicy on the inside. Its fruit is identifiable by its coloring, which ranges from yellow to blush pink, peach, and red. Growers love the Honeycrisp because it is relatively small and easy to manage, bears fruits at a young age (roughly 1-2 years), and offers a prolonged harvest season. These apples can also stand up well in juices, jams and preserves, and of course - baked goods.
The Honeycrisp apple tree can tolerate a variety of soil types, so long as it is well-draining. Plant in full sun and harvest fruit in September - October (depending on location and climate). The trees we have a available are 5'-6' in height and will top off at about 8'-10' in maturity.
